Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 + Bonus
Location: Victoria 3 days a week in the office
Please note that this role can not support visa sponsorship.
Joining a global organisation within the private education sector you will be joining the commercial function. This role will see you working with the special projects team and delivering interesting and rewarding data analysis. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of data science and analytics within the business and changing the way people learn.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis to define analytical models.
- Develop advanced quantitative models using various programs/software for predictive assessments.
- Provide expert insights for analytical, strategic, and operational analysis.
- Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful patterns, trends, and insights.
- Develop and implement algorithms and statistical models to solve complex business problems.
- Build, test, validate, and demonstrate analytical models through relevant error metrics and calibration techniques.
- Design algorithms requiring the use of multiple models/methods in an ensemble.
- Utilize data science techniques and libraries to demonstrate data's applicability to business problems.
- Stay updated with the latest data science and machine learning trends, tools, and technologies.
- Contribute to research and development efforts to enhance data science capabilities.
- Build cross-functional relationships to maximize data usage across the organization.
- Collaborate with regional and local colleagues to understand the business better and deliver optimal insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
- Certification in Cloud Architecture/Engineering/DevOps/ML from major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Proficient in SQL, data visualization tools (PowerBI, Snowflake, Databricks, Supermetrics, Python).
- Experience in developing algorithms using data science technologies.
- Good cross-cultural, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Results-oriented with the ability to map efforts against identified KPIs.
- Experience in data wrangling/cleansing, statistical modeling, and programming
