Senior Internal Communications Manager

Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will help shape the communications through a range of channels, with the aim of improving employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use own creativity and a research driven approach to drive innovative channel content which in turn drives Employee Engagement.
- Lead the development of digital channel technical integration achieving time/labour efficiencies and uniformity of content messaging.
- Manage the editorial plan for all channels.
- Lead on evaluation of channels. Drive changes in content and distribution channels based on quantitative and qualitative research.
- Maintain and manage a roster of suppliers, ensuring the company is achieving value for money and reducing costs where possible. Refresh roster as and when required.
- Lead all video production for Channels team.
- Commission and oversee the development of high profile communication campaigns when required working with key stakeholders at a senior level in the business.
- Write scripts and briefs for senior members and CEO when necessary.
- Manage the budget for all digital platforms managed by Group Communications.
Key Skills:
- Excellent news writing skills and judgement.
- Excellent proof reading skills.
- Ability to operate and write quickly, under pressure and across diverse subject areas.
- Ability to understand and communicate persuasively issues and policies to employees.
- Ability to write for different media, purposes and audiences.
- Understanding of the role of communication within employee engagement.
- Experience and understanding of evolving digital and social media channels and content requirement in addition to traditional media.
- Understanding of IT software and systems, including ability to upload own stories to content management systems and basic Photoshop skills.
- Experience of working in a pressurised corporate environment.
- Experience of managing photographers, film and production houses.
- Flexible approach to working conditions and willingness to work anti-social hours when necessary.
